Fraudulent "Employment" emails We have recently become aware that fraudulent emails claiming to be from Travelex relating to employment opportunities within our US and Canadian businesses are being sent and circulated. These emails use Travelex branding and can look realistic. If you receive such an email purporting to be from Travelex and asking for personal details please disregard it. Travelex does not solicit information in this manner, and the sender may be attempting to fraudulently acquire your personal information. Please do not share your personal details via email from an unsolicited source. Fraudulent “Escrowed Auction Payment” emails We have recently become aware of a number of fraudulent e-mails claiming to be from Travelex and purporting to relate to payment for goods or services sold through on-line forums or auctions. These e-mails incorporate Travelex branding, including the Travelex corporate logo, and can look very realistic. Travelex is not the originating source of such e-mail communications. If you receive notification that Travelex is holding funds for an item that you are selling, please proceed cautiously. The buyer may be faking a payment notification to you in an attempt to defraud you of goods or services. You should not ship your goods until you are confident you have received payment in full from the buyer. For more information on how to protect yourself from on-line fraud of this nature, you should consult the online forum/auction which you have been utilizing. Travelex takes the unauthorized and illegal use of its branding and corporate logo very seriously. If you receive a notification that purports to be from Travelex and you have reason to suspect it to be fraudulent, please report it to the appropriate criminal authorities and to us via email at: emailsecurity@travelex.com.
