DAVID SEAR, TRAVELEX, TO SPEAK AT INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS SUMMIT
Update: Click to view David Sear’s speech at IPS
David Sear, Divisional Managing Director of Travelex Global Business Payments, will be speaking on 10th March 2010 at the International Payments Summit (IPS) in London. Following his keynote speech at SIBOS last year, Mr. Sear will speak about the phenomenal rise of the payment institution and predict how innovation in business-to-business payments will bring about a new era in payments.
Using the evolution of social networking sites as an example, Mr. Sear will show how payment institutions can utilise the paradigm of many-to-many as a growth strategy. He will also discuss how payment institutions are best positioned to fully exploit payment innovation in the b2b arena.
Mr Sear says, “Corporate payments will be revolutionised in the 2010’s in the same way consumer payments changed in the 2000s, but it will be the new breed of payment institutions that will deliver.
“Armed with secure networks, global operations, service level agreements and compliance expertise, payment institutions are well placed to ride the wave of new payment channels in the b2b world. Traditional banking relationships are being de coupled as the financial crisis forced a reality check in the commercial world and created a new appetite for de coupled financial relationships.”
Mr. Sear has full responsibility for Travelex Global Business Payments worldwide, which specialises in international and domestic payments, as well as innovative payment solutions. Travelex Global Business Payments is trusted by over 35,000 businesses and 750 large corporates worldwide to manage their foreign exchange requirements.
